Spring brings antique and collector vehicles to the Dells with more than 900 show cars on display, a car corral with cars for sale, a swap meet, live entertainment and great food.
Almost in the same spot both days, but sunday I had to park away from ym friends becuase two of them got stuck next to the morbid fool with the hearse.
Class Organization
No such thing for a show this big
Trophies & Prizes
Very nice plaques, I was very suprised when I came back from breakfast on sunday morning and had an award sticker on my car.
Food
Brought my own, but did enjoy a $4.25 hot dog on sunday...
Entertainment
Would it kill them to update the music 20 years?
Judging
I only saw the ladies on the golfcart.
Dash Plaque
Nice, but I think I left mine in my motel room when I checked out.
Variety of Cars
Always a nice selection
Bathrooms
Porta potties...I used them.
Weather
It was cold and windy on Saturday, but sunday was nicer. I have a combination sun/wind burn on my face :(
Trophy Presentation Timing
They kept this rolling along, but they could've shortened up the kiddie awards.
Entry Fee
$15 for two days, $7.50 a day, cheaper than most shows.
I would've liked to seen more vehicles cruising the strip, but thanks to the fuzz I think a lot of people stayed away.
The guy who had the hearse there on sunday should be checked into Mendota, that thing was just a lil too freaky with all the skeletons, casket, statues, etc. along with him playing with a huge scoprion and a tarantula spider. He got a lot of attention though....
Didn't win a door prizes, but the ones I did see were nice. Great awards!
Food
Looked good to me, typical car show food
Entertainment
The band wasn't that good on Saturday, the wind kept the juggler away also
Judging
I saw more than one judge walk around a car ~ that had the windows and hood closed ~ mark the persons name down and slap an award sticker on the window. If you are going to judge, judge fairly and not because the car is blue, red or your favorite make/model. I realize there is no way to judge that many cars fairly, but be realistic. The girls riding around on golf carts judging weren't impressive either.
Dash Plaque
It was okay,,, I don't care for them that size.
Variety of Cars
Excellent! Some I've never seen before!
Bathrooms
Plenty of 'em!
Weather
Saturday was very cold and windy, horrible day. Sunday was almost perfect.
Trophy Presentation Timing
They started at 2 and kept it moving. I'm not sure the kids awards are needed as there aren't many kids there, let alone on Sunday afternoon.
Entry Fee
$10
We've gone to this show for years now and always look forward to it. The quality and quantity of cars never ceases to amaze me, you see everything at this show. We were there both days and I know by 10 a.m. Saturday they had over 1000 cars and were starting to turn people away late morning. I would like to see the judging improve, although there were some very deserving cars winning this year.
The police have really come down on this event, the fine for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle (squealing tires, burnouts, etc.) was $500. Is that necessary? A burnout contest was advertised all day at Dells Raceway Park but once you got out there it was $12 to get in the gate, so far from free! I think that's a great idea, a way to keep people off the streets. It was great to drive down the strip Saturday afternoon and see it lined with people and cars ~ love that feeling. I also never get tired of hearing the cars go up and down all night long, this is a great weekend.
Line was long as disorganized. You'd think by now they would be better at it.
Entertainment
Band Sucked
Judging
They Judged?
Dash Plaque
Decent
Variety of Cars
Always a ton of cars but like most shows too many of the same old same old
Bathrooms
a good amount of portapots
Weather
a perfect weekend a bit windy and cool Saturday
Trophy Presentation Timing
so so
Entry Fee
10 bucks not bad.
This is always a decent show. Some things have gone down hill since Dells Vistitors Board took over. Judging is not what it used to be. They walk around and pick afew that they like. The Cruisers do a decent job.
Sucked. Period. Spectator Lot was full with about 30 empty spots in it?
Class Organization
Seemed logical for the club size
Trophies & Prizes
Looked nice. Kids stuff that was free everywhere was nice
Food
Excellent. Plus cold Beer
Entertainment
Typical old music playing. Juggler was fun to see. Kids rides where nice
Judging
Seemed pretty good
Dash Plaque
Didn't see them up close enough
Variety of Cars
Nice bunch of cars on Sunday
Bathrooms
easy to get to for the kids
Weather
Sunday was perfect weather
Trophy Presentation Timing
They seemed right on time
Entry Fee
Decent price
Went up on Sunday and the weather was perfect. The cars where arranged well and a nice selection. Food was great. People where nice. The kids loved the scavenger hunt and the free stuff that they where allowed to do. Donations accepted for the free stuff which is a good idea.
Just too bad the parking sucked for spectators. They claimed the lot was full but it was far from it. Whoever was manning the front gate wasn't doing his job. We parked next door at Marley's and walked in. Little frustrating to see all the empty parking spots as you are carrying a kid piggy-bag. Only downer of the day for us.
The weather sucked, cool and windy all day, but it wasn't raining.
Trophy Presentation Timing
Wasn't there on Sunday for trophies.
Entry Fee
$15 Not bad for a show with that many cars.
This is always an enjoyable show. Many great cars to look at. It is too big of a show for a club to handle, that is probably why they do the judging the way they do. It is a pain to leave if you don't leave a little early before the cruise gets going. On the other hand being part of the cruise is allot of fun.
I was up in that very back alcove - it was nice because it was away from the music and a nice grassy spot but also kind of isolated
Food
A nice variety including German Roasted Almonds! Mmmm
Entertainment
I don't particularly like the music at this show
Variety of Cars
As usual.. a fantastic variety
Bathrooms
Plenty of locations.. no waiting in line
Weather
A little cool at first but I really enjoyed it not being boiling hot all day!
Entry Fee
$15
This is always a great start to the season and this year's show was no exception. I am always astounded at the sheer number of cars and also the quality of the restorations. I can't imagine trying to judge a show like this because there are too many very well done cars there
I was also surprised to see a 1974 GTO - I can't remember the last time I've seen one of those
Pin Setters live band was good, PA announcer very annoying all day

I was spectating...free!
After a long absence, I decided to make the journey to the Dells. I haven't been to this show since its first year at Noah's Ark. Since I intended to draw cars, I opted not to use the various off site park spots and the shuttle. Draging a custom painted coaster wagon around with art supplies makes it hard to use shuttles. I followed a truck into a parking area and was met by an Eagle Scout who told me this area was for handicapped and VIP psarking and did I have the Handicap tag or VIP card. After telling him I did not have these credentials, he told me I could park down by Tommy Bartlett's and use a shuttle bus. I explained the whole art thing and the wagon and he said wait a minute and ran off. He returned with a VIP permit for me and let me park there. This is what I like and appreciate...someone who made an effort to accommodate a person and thought outside the box. First time I ever encountered a parking attendant that actually possessed a brain and knew how to use said brain. To that Eagle Scout...Kudos.
I rolled in at 8AM. I turned the corner at the last traffic light and that is where the line started. Within 5 minutes I was paid up and was directed to my spot (rapid and well organized). At that time there where about 200 cars already parked. By 11:30 it appeared that almost every spot was filled (~1000).
Improvements from last year: they had more trash cans around the lot in all the right spots. They had a bank of about 8 porta john's in the lower lot where they typically only had 1.
I seemed they had 8-10 more vendors than in previous years (I picked up some Wizard detailer and some stickers for my old school cooler).
Tons of foot traffic.
Excellent variety of cars (seemed a bit light on mustangs) there were many flat paint cars that were very well done.
They had door prizes for kids (cool concept).
As always with a show of this size having a good sound system for the entire area is nearly impossible. I do find it a little odd that they had 4 radio stations there all with speakers blaring all within 50 yards of space (maybe spread them out over the entire park?).
Over all it was a great day, great drive even though it was a bit cold and windy (I'm happy I tossed in an extra sweat-shirt). One good thing about it being cold is that there is not many bugs to clean up on the cars.
Many of the cars didn't have their hoods up due to the wind. Nice variety of cars include a 1987 Dodge Omni! This will be a fun show to attend since every year more cars are "okayed" to enter (over the next 10 years we will see the tunners coming in, the future classics!).
The club that puts this show on does an excellent job and hit all the key "car show" areas nicely!
Its still here! Just click the "View all user reviews" button at the top or bottom. It only shows a couple on the first page so you're not scrolling for miles to get to the comments. If everyone would prefer that all reviews just get displayed on this page, however, I can easily adjust that to be so
During the cruise after the show I also saw the bike cops going after cars that were spinning tires and such. I found it to be humorous :)
The night cruise is more what I was reffering too. It may have been a lil light due to people being out in that wind all day, sometimes the weather can really take it out of you. Hopefully next year we can have some May weather for the show.
I was up there Friday night with circletrack and a bunch of other people watching the fuzz fly up and down the strip every ten minutes. They were only ones speeding that we saw.. The 12 year old I saw driving the squad car (right out of high school) appeared to be more of nuisance then the car show people.. lol
I know the cop you're talking about, he kept driving thru our motel parking lot attempting to be a hardass. I don't think he could shave nonetheless ever shoot a handgun, LOL!
He yelled at me and my girlfriend for walking up the street with an open beer, I just ignored him.

I sat and watched it from 4-5 and I saw one car get pulled over by a bike cop and one by a cop on foot.... Lame....
