OVERALL THOUGHTS
For a first time show, the Road Apples knocked it out of the park. Obviously a show that will grow in years to come. Look forward to coming back again. Once again, want to thank Road Apples for asking Goodguys to present an award at the show.
Grass and plenty of folks to point you in the right direction to get you lined up on the line
Class Organization
Looked good to me, seemed a little heavy on the Bike ones (but it seems that most shows don't attract many bikes)
Trophies & Prizes
Car related door prizes and a 1 year storage at Blue Chip, and nice plaques. Nice Grab bag (the LED shot glass should be fun camping in a couple of weeks)
Food
From burgers to brats, roast beef, pizza, cookies and ice cream from culvers
Entertainment
A DJ that gets it. Nice mix of newer and old stuff.
Judging
1st time this year I've seen the judges take +5 minutes to go over the top cars (I think I saw one judge do an army crawl under a Cuda)
Dash Plaque
Nice one and it is now on display in my garage
Variety of Cars
Lots of great cars ~150.
Bathrooms
Plenty and great locations
Weather
Cloudy, a little wind...
Trophy Presentation Timing
On time and kept it moving

OVERALL THOUGHTS
This show was running on all cylinders from entry to exit.
Pay as you drive in (to stop the losers who park and forget to register)
Folks to park you on grass that was mowed days before the show
Door prizes that are car related
Judges that take the time to real inspect the cars
A show for a cause
Good fairly priced food
plenty of bathrooms
DJ that played a good mix of tunes
Lots of nice cars including tuners and low ride trucks
Awards on time
My only suggestion would be to have the Club Cars to park in a section where the other cars were at on the grass (I'm sure the club cars where loaded with gear to run the show)
Nice shade but pine needles everywhere.... oh well
Class Organization
Park where ever

OVERALL THOUGHTS
I can't say enough good things about this show! I stand up and salute circletrack and all the members of the RoadApples for there hard work to make this show probably one of the best shows I have ever been too!! The RA's are a great club and a great crew of people to be associated with. I wished I didnt live so far away, and could've been more help! This is the first show I can honestly say there is nothing that I want to see change, and for a show to be such a well-oiled machine during there first show, I see this event only growing in size and popularity!!!
Congrats to DDhemi, his dad, MMRJR, Eclipse_Tuner, my friend Dustin the "Cheesemaker", and my sweetie on there awards won today!!!
........On a side note i would like to thank the d-bag that had the health inspector drop by. Its so nice to see that this one trouble maker ERRRRRR..... "concerned citizen" had the integrity to make sure that everyone was safe. DONT WORRY HE DROPPED THE DIME ON WHO IT WAS.
I, too, want to offer my personal thanks to Rachael, and all the other members of the Road Apples Car Club for an OUTSTANDING car show!!!!!!!
The entire show was well organized, efficient, and there were plenty of club members around to get things done. I was really impressed with the judging that was thorough and consistent from car to car.
I really like the idea of having local civic groups like the Boy Scouts as a vendor. Their food was hot, pretty nicely and quickly prepared, and most reasonably priced!
Thanks again for putting on the best car show that I have been to this year!!!!!!!
Wow, thank you, thank you! We worked extremely hard to put this show on and make it correct from start to finish. We were a bit worried this morning as the cars weren't coming in as quickly as we anticipated but I'm pleased to say we had around 140 cars for our first year and only hope to improve as time goes by!
The Boy Scouts were a huge hit, the food was awesome and those boys were thrilled to help out; earning money for upcoming camps and such. We liked the idea of letting others help us out, everyone working together.
Again, thanks! I'll make sure to pass your comments on to the Road Apples!
Thanks for all the nice comments about my DJ work...and yes, I do understand the "less talk, more action" thing. This was my first show for this club and I try to hard to be all things for all people. Some of the talk was warranted as far as announcements and door prize calls. And I did mention some of the cars as they came in and that can be hit or miss as to weather people want it or not. At least one person liked the mention of his car, and said so in the comments above. Thanks for the very nice comments and if I am back, I will try harder to please everyone. Any comments, suggestions for music is appreciated. BTW, several people came up and thanked me for some of the music I had. It's not the most common stuff one hears at car shows. For as many people wanting a more diverse mix in both style and era, there are just as many who want to never leave the era they have fond memories of. It is my job to make everyone happy...but it ain't easy. When I played "Going Down The Crazy River" by Robby Robertson (Robinson?), the Scout Master who was with the Scout Troop actually came to the DJ tent and complimented my playing it as he was a big fan. That made me happy.
+1. Congrats to circletrack and the Roadapples crew. This show was ran beautifully. Its good to have a show put on by experienced car clubs, I think it makes a big difference in how well the show goes. I was glad to see a tuner class...even though some of the other participants were "less than thrilled". And the judging was spot-on...It was very thourogh and done well. I will certainly be back next year.
Congrats to Marshal and the others who won an award.
