Iola is hard to beat. It is a fun weekend. They have been doing it long enough, they know how to handle that many people.

Parking Location as always grass or black top depending on car year/style
Class Organization not that kind of show
Trophies & Prizes no awards. More shows should be like that
Food Tons. Long lines at peak times but with that many people they ge you served quickly
Entertainment The cars are the entertainment
Judging no judging. Everyone relaxing and enjoying just being there. Again a great plus
Dash Plaque Always nice
Variety of Cars from full Classics to Hot rods. They get it all.
Bathrooms plenty
Weather What a perfect weekend. Stormed Fri night.
Trophy Presentation Timing No trophies. The cars are your trophy
Entry Fee 10 bucks pre for the entire weekend.

This is almost as perfect as a show can get. Plenty of cars. Great workers,Huge swap meet, huge car corral, even a car auction (did not go).No BS about awards ,judging, egos and the like. If more shows consentrated on the cars and the guests instead of awards,classes and judging. More shows would be this fun.

I cannot say enough good things about Iola. Plenty of cars (more than you can look at and enjoy in a weekend), lots of good food (how about those famous Iola Chicken dinners!) , tons of car related stuff (with the flea market trinkets missing), in a nice, country setting!!!! The Spring and Fall Jefferson shows pale in comparison to Iola. Going to Iola for a car guy/gal is like being on a religious pilgrimage.

I can't wait to get back up there next year.
