I have gone to this show for many years as a spectator, artist and participant. Sindic's was a typical small town Oldsmobile dealer, but still remains in business as a used car seller and has taken on a Richlonn Tire store as well. This is always a nice show and this year it did not disappoint. Very well organized, decent food and nice people. Music played tends to be 70s, 80s, and 90s with a smattering of the typical oldie stuff, but not overdone. It was nice hearing groups like Kansas and Pink Floyd and Men At Work. However, the CD player was pretty much left to the whims of anyone nearby. It got irritating to me at least, to hear a song cut off at mid point and another one start. Enough rant! LOL. The trophies were very nice and had some heft to them. Made of tempered glass and etched with the club logo and place of win. I won a third place for my HHR in Truck, Stock or restored, all years. Best of show was a black 37 Ford street rod. This show is unique in that rarely a Vette or Chevy wins Best Of Show. This is recommended to go to. It's small in quantity (a little over 100 cars), but very nicely done.
I will try and remember this show for next year. I really get a kick out of going to a new show for the first time, big or small. There's a certain kind of excitement about meeting new people with cars you haven't seen and watching a show unfold for the first time at someplace you've never been before. This is just the kind of show that I am looking for to do more of next year.
