This show used to be a whole lot better. No one really seemed to know what was going on or cared. They alowed muscle cars and corvettes into the regular stock classes when they had there own class. It's a shame to see a show die along painful death as this one is doing. Not worth the ten bucks to enter or the trip to Oxford.
Clean, freshly painted bathrooms with soap and paper towels!

Never been to this show before and decided to try something new. When I called for info on this show, they said it had been going for the past 10 - 15 years and run by anything from the fire dept to the girl scouts. The last few years the chamber has been running the show. Turnout in the past has been anywhere between 25 and 100. There were only 5 vehicles there to begin with but ended the day with about another 30.
The modified class selection needed some help along with further breakdown in other classes (ie. The muscle car class was all years to present, corvette class was all years from 1953 to present, etc.).
They had a small crew at registration that didn't really have a clue what they were doing. There was a ballot given to all participants to vote on your favorite vehicle. However, registration forgot to put the class letter / vehicle number on the window cards so no one knew how to vote. While I was registering, I overheard one of the ladies say she didn't know much about cars or even like them. Nice!
The highlight of the day was free coffee and donuts along with clean and well stocked bathrooms!
I give them credit for trying to keep this show going but I think they need some help to ever be successful. Won't go back.

Sounds like one to stay away from. The lady saying she didn't know much about cars and that she didn't even like them is a total turnoff to anyone attending that show IMO. It makes one feel as if they are not wanted there and that they have wasted there time helping someone making there show a success.

Years ago this show used to be a benefit for the Girl Scouts (I think) and was a good show. I think the town/chamber wanted to take it over and the scouts backed out. Sounds like another perfect example of the Chamber wanting to take over something with $$$ signs in their eyes?? Sometimes it's better to leave things alone.
