If a class is set make them stay in there class. Saw 2 mustangs win in a class that was'nt for mustangs, as they had there own class. Also make a class for tuners and lowriders next year.

I had car in your show to be judged but your judges did not even know their was a mustang that we had. How can a judge look at a car to judge when they never heard of the car. I ask two years in a row to get the judge points and the people don't have the time to send you your points. what is the big secreat I think your judges should go to school if they want to judge cars mabe some of your old timers should show the younger people how to judge i would love to be a judge
This is the first time I had brought a car to the show. It was a fun day in a great setting. I like the park, many different types of areas for the cars.
perfect parking location with lots of shade and on the grass for most

cars not parked in classes could use some further breakdown in modern classes for this kind of turnout

A great day in the park at Beaver Dam. I had heard good things about this show and was not disappointed. Great variety of cars as attested to by the long line at registration in the morning. There were so many cars spread out throughout the park that the judges missed a few initially so they had to have owners take them back to the cars to be judged. One thing that has become increasingly annoying as I see it show after show is that the modern stock classes are not broken up as much as I would like. As the owner of a 1990 stock vehicle I get the short end of the stick with a class like 1990-present as there was in Beaver Dam (don't get me wrong though that is much better than the 1971 and 1973 to present I've seen at other shows and is far from unique to this one). I would really like to see more 1990-1999 or 90-2000 classes or have a cut off around the ten year mark as it is discouraging to see older vehicles passed over for a 2 year old car with an active factory warranty still in effect. I only bring it up now because the oldest car to win in the 90-present class was from 2004 with the rest being newer than that and I saw several 13-20 year old cars deserving of some recognition. Now that I've complained enough (and no offense to the owners of those newer cars or the judges who did a great job with the criteria they were given) I will say that the show is a lot of fun and well put together.
The food was good and despite high, unyeilding, demand the staff at the concessions and registration booth did a great job keeping up. They do need to spread some more speakers across the park because you could not understand a word the announcer said from behind the stage area, the design of that shell seemed to interfere.
Beautiful location with lots of nice shade and scenery.
Class Organization
Could use some minor tweaking

I always look forward to coming to this show. It's a beautiful park and there is always a great variety of vehicles to look at.
Stock classes were broken down nicely along with "branded" classes (ie. Mustang, Corvette, T-Bird, Chevelle, Camero, and even an Oldsmobile Cutlass class). Noticed a lot of Mopars there today--they should have their own class as well. Could have also used further breakdown of the modified classes. They were broken down by years but labled as Mild/Full Custom". How can you have mild and full custom vehicles together in the same class. Aren't these two different things?
Could have used a few porta potties along the outside edges of the park. Also needed to have speakers spread out around the park. Unless you were located near the bandshell, you couldn't hear any of the announcements and you could barely hear the music.
I think having the Portage show on a different weekend this year helped the turnout. Always a good show--we'll be back!
I have to agree with you about the stock classes. Having a unrestored 20 year old vehicle being judged against something that rolled off the showroom floor is tough, as those cars are literally brand new. I think more shows, especially the larger ones, will have to adapt classes for stock 1990-1999 and 2000-current.
Thank you moparkid25 for agreeing with me, I notice that a lot of shows have more awards for larger classes (the ?-to present class is usually one of them) but even so a further breakup 0f the class would shuffle awards around a bit. I'm also a fan of survivor or unrestored classes but some of those go back too far ex. "survivor 1980 and older" how many vehicles like that are there really? (maybe I would be surprised). It's a tough call and I certainly don't have all the right answers but I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking collector plates shouldn't compete with vehicles just weened off of dealer plates (you like that lol)
