I always look forward to coming to this show. It's a beautiful park and there is always a great variety of vehicles to look at.
Stock classes were broken down nicely along with "branded" classes (ie. Mustang, Corvette, T-Bird, Chevelle, Camero, and even an Oldsmobile Cutlass class). Noticed a lot of Mopars there today--they should have their own class as well. Could have also used further breakdown of the modified classes. They were broken down by years but labled as Mild/Full Custom". How can you have mild and full custom vehicles together in the same class. Aren't these two different things?
Could have used a few porta potties along the outside edges of the park. Also needed to have speakers spread out around the park. Unless you were located near the bandshell, you couldn't hear any of the announcements and you could barely hear the music.
I think having the Portage show on a different weekend this year helped the turnout. Always a good show--we'll be back!
Clean, freshly painted bathrooms with soap and paper towels!

Never been to this show before and decided to try something new. When I called for info on this show, they said it had been going for the past 10 - 15 years and run by anything from the fire dept to the girl scouts. The last few years the chamber has been running the show. Turnout in the past has been anywhere between 25 and 100. There were only 5 vehicles there to begin with but ended the day with about another 30.
The modified class selection needed some help along with further breakdown in other classes (ie. The muscle car class was all years to present, corvette class was all years from 1953 to present, etc.).
They had a small crew at registration that didn't really have a clue what they were doing. There was a ballot given to all participants to vote on your favorite vehicle. However, registration forgot to put the class letter / vehicle number on the window cards so no one knew how to vote. While I was registering, I overheard one of the ladies say she didn't know much about cars or even like them. Nice!
The highlight of the day was free coffee and donuts along with clean and well stocked bathrooms!
I give them credit for trying to keep this show going but I think they need some help to ever be successful. Won't go back.
Park anywhere you want, but someone should have been helping park cars.

They could have used someone directing cars where to park. Very disappointed in the judging. The judge was opening car doors and looking around without the owner being present or giving permission to "touch" their vehicle. I watched him slam the door of one car 2 or 3 times to get it shut properly. When he came to my car, he reached for the door handle and I stopped him and told him I would open it for him. I don't think he liked that too well and I paid for it later on. Also, one guy ended up taking home 5 of the 50 trophies they gave out. I don't think this show is going to get much bigger or better unless they make some changes. I won't be back next year.
