DJ with 6 speakers in all the right places. Nice selection of music (I can't say I heard one normal car show song)

Variety of Cars

Entry Fee
10 day of show and they didn't charge me for show only
I stopped in for a couple of hours to check things out. I attended last year and it was about the same with a couple of improvements. This year they had a DJ that only faded the music out to announce door prize numbers (last year there was a gentleman whose commentary got more colorful as spirits were flowing throughout the day). Also, the door prizes were mainly car related items (car wash stuff, sprays and cleaners), last year it was primary alcohol relate items (shirts, hats, key chains ...).
The car total was about 85, and it was a relaxing couple of hours for me and a nice drive to and from.
Also, I did hear that there was a show in Marshall at the same time (2nd annual not on the calendar), so I may hit that up next year for something different.
DJ did a super job. I didn't hear any of normal 50's to 60's car show tunes.

Need more...
Entry Fee
6 pre; 12 day of show or 6 for show only
Another well done show is in the books for Blanchardville. Pay as you drive in. Multiple folks to help you move to the right spot (oh yeah ... 1958 VW Beetle is a Custom Street Machine ;). 50-50, door prizes, lots of help, plenty of trash cans around.
The best thing about this show is that profits go to help out others and other groups were there to sell food to help raise some cash.
My only recommendation is to get a couple of folks out to try to raise a few bucks for the 50-50 raffle.
Grass with an extended area, which could hold an extra 100 cars
Class Organization
lots and lots of classes
Trophies & Prizes
Plaque's to the winner (which is nice from the standard trophies); door prizes included many items from the Oregon area
Food
not sure on the food as I didn't have any
Entertainment
DJ; a bit loud at times, but it was expected since I was right by the speakers
Judging
Well done
Dash Plaque
got one
Variety of Cars
decent mix of cars from new to super old
Weather
bit of rain in the morning and then humid and hot in the afternoon
Trophy Presentation Timing

Entry Fee

The grounds were well set-up with trash cans in all the right places. They guided you as you came in to help park you. After I was parked I walked over to the Parade route and found a place to sit and watched it roll on by.
When I came back to the show it was nice to see even more cars had shown up and it was nice to see some rare cars like a GT 500 and a woody convertible.
It was a very well done show with enough staff to keep in rolling along.
My only suggestion is to have some signs out on the normal turns once you get into Oregon to help us find our way to the show.
50-50 raffle $294 to the winner. Normal door prizes with some bigger items after the awards, plaque type of awards
Food
Boy Scouts hit it out of the park again, KwikTrip with pizza and Arby's with beefy sandwiches, and Schoep's had free ice cream treats
Entertainment
DJ mixing up the tunes and no issues with hearing the music all over the park
Judging
spot on. spent several minutes with each car.
Dash Plaque

Variety of Cars
decent mix of super old, muscle, tuner, new, imports
Bathrooms
minty fresh!
Weather

Trophy Presentation Timing
on time and they kept it moving
Entry Fee
10 bucks ... standard
Super day in the park! Year 2 for this show and it is a well oiled machine, from entry, to food, to door prizes, to cash rewards, to great cars the Road Apples have this car show thing down!
XM, but they had it tuned into the oldies moldy channel
I chickened out and just walked in as spectator. Attendance was down about 50 cars due to the weather. They did make some announcements that there was front that would come through and they were going to have the awards a bit early to see if they could beat the storm (which is nice to update folks on the storms). My only complaint (which I say every year) is that they charge 2 bucks for spectators (there are very few shows in Southern WI that charge for spectators). I do realize that the cash goes to the firehouse, but there are ton of better ways to get spectators in the door and raise even more money (50-50 raffle, other 50-50 games, donation jar ...)
Pancakes in the morning and burgers/pizza and brats
Entertainment
live band and some tunes through the PA
Judging
nice one

Another Automotion show has come and gone ... Nice ride up from Madison ... I rolled in at 8AM and was parked at 8:05... they had plenty of staff at that time to guide you into your spot ... registration was quick and easy (they had 2 more people doing registration this year) and the final parking spots were in the area way in the left back narrow spot (someone must read our reviews?). They were all full by 10:30 (~1100cars); last year it was full at 11:30).
Plenty of cars for sale and they had several more vendors this year too.
Tons of foot traffic! I've never had so many people come talk to me about my car and what was that thing hanging in the window (swamp cooler).
As usual sound is an issue for a show this size. It was a little odd to hear music through the PA and the Band playing at the same time.
They had 8 coupons in random good bags for a 50 dollar bill (nice award for a show this size).
Weather was mid 70's, 60% of the time it was cloudy and not too hot.
I'll be back next year and may even have to convince my wife to come (book a hotel for a couple of nights like others)
Door prizes; I won a bottle of Wizard detail spray
Food
Aggree with the other poster, burgers and brats are blah .....
Entertainment
DJ, you could hear if you were within 100 feet

Variety of Cars
lots and lots of drivers and a handful of "show cars"; by 11AM they were looking for spots to stick the cars.
Bathrooms
plenty
Weather
nice temps

The number of cars for sale seemed to be down a bit. The far lot that typically has +75 cars in it was basically empty (maybe more are spending their 50 bucks on an Ebay ad....).
Plenty of junk for sale and a few new national vendors were there too.
Pretty good, if it grows some more some of the classes may need to be broken up
Trophies & Prizes
plenty of door prizes and trophies
Food
muffins and coffee in the morning and standard brats and such
Entertainment
3d sound, kept the talkie talkie to a minium, music selection made it to about 1984 (what about the 90 - now?)

Hats off to the organizers of this show! They have a great location and put on an excellent show! 160 cars showed up which was double last years record year of 80 cars (they have room for about +300). They will get more cars with better weather and if they switch to a judged show.
They put you into your class as you drove in and the classes had long rows and they didn't run out of room (it was nice to see all the mustangs and corvettes each in their own class and not spread out in the a different stock or modified class (the organizers must of watched this closely). They had folks there to park you. It was participant judging and they did it a little different. At noon you went to registration to pick up your ballot. On the ballot there were 5 classes, and you pick your favorite car in the class (also you picked a best of show). Picking up the ballots was quick. Picking out the cars was also quick since they had the classes in rows.
They moved up the trophy presentation by 1 hr, and a couple of the Best of's will be on either their T-shirt for next year (Bruce and Kathy's 34 will be on the t-shirt) or on the dash plaque.
They also mentioned that any profits will go to a scholarship for a student wanting to study something automotive in nature. I like this and hope they do it next year (maybe mix in a 50 50 raffle with the cash going to the scholarship)
Congrats to MoparKid (and Lindsay), ddhemi, MMRJR on their 1st place wins in their class! And Cuda Man on his Best Of pick!
On the way out they had staff members there to wave and say goodbye and drive safe (nice touch)!
Blacktop in the old part of town; and I had a guy helping me park the car.
Class Organization
3 classes for cars and 2 for bikes
Trophies & Prizes
cool 3D plaques for the award, no door prizes
Food
burgers and brats at the bars, pulled pork, ice cream and all the returants were open.
Entertainment
DJ with 2 speakers, one pointing down each road, a little loud at times, but he played an excellent mix of tunes, (not just "car Show tunes"
Judging
not quite sure if it was participant of folks walking in for the show (if participant i never recieved a voting form)
Dash Plaque
cool plastic dash plaque
Variety of Cars
about 45 cars (they have room for about 75) a little bit of everthing
Bathrooms
2 porta-johns with no lines
Weather
sunny 75 with a little breeze (perfect)
Trophy Presentation Timing
15-20 minutes late, but quick with only 7 awards to give out
Entry Fee
10; which seems a bit high for a show of this size and no door prizes.
This was a fun small town show located in the heart of Mazo. I enjoyed the ride out and the fact that is was a short afternoon show (2-6PM). Even though there were not a ton of cars or a lot of classes it was enjoyable to attend a different show within the Madison area. I really like the idea of a small town mixing in a car show with there town fest.
My only suggestions is to add a couple more classes (I think it is fine to only have 1 award per class for a show this size) and offer 8-12 door prizes to help keep the car owners at this short show.
