Parking Location We got there early and snagged the only shade in the park, otherwise blacktop.
Class Organization None
Trophies & Prizes Very nice awards and door prizes
Food Willie's Wagon, good hot dogs, brats and italian beef sandwhiches. The prices were a bit high?!
Entertainment DJ with a mix of new and old
Judging This show was different as the sponsors chose the winners and gave away the awards (if they were there and/or chose to)
Dash Plaque Got one
Variety of Cars Excellent! Several I've never seen before!
Bathrooms Real ones with HOT water and SOAP!
Weather We drove on wet roads (as if) in the morning but once the sun cleared it was great
Trophy Presentation Timing 2:00 and they kept it moving!
Entry Fee $5 with proceeds going to the American Heart and/or Cancer Society

The Road Apples took a chance on this show and I'm very glad we did! The organizers put this show together in less than two months and did a great job in coordinating everything. It was nice to see the businesses/sponsors get so involved and chose their favorite car, although I would discourage them from giving awards to their friends, or not announcing they know the winners when giving awards. Stuff like that makes people wonder.

All in all, several cars we've never seen before, a very nice show. We'll be back!

Parking Location Nice grassy park
Class Organization Very good organization, clubs were able to park together
Trophies & Prizes Lots and lots of door prizes, they even had some left over. Nice award!
Food Something for everyone, the 4H kids made a killing off the Road Apples, we bought each time they came around!
Entertainment Nice variety of music
Judging Lots of cars to judge, I also saw them crawling under cars. Nice job!
Dash Plaque Once again, great!
Variety of Cars Outstanding! Several I've seen and even more new ones!
Bathrooms Frank needs to work on this next year... there were only TWO throughout the park (that I saw) and the flush ones in the real bathrooms weren't working very well. Long lines most of the day for the portables
Weather Hot and humid in the morning, it was sprinkling by the time we left
Trophy Presentation Timing I understand they had their hands full, but with the weather it would've been nicer to move it up a bit
Entry Fee $6 in advance! That's awesome!

Another great show put on by Frank and the gang. I really enjoy the drive out in the morning for this show and the variety of cars! I would work on getting a few more portables for next year, otherwise great job!

Congrats to all the Road Apples that took home awards today... Gary Brown's first award!!

Class Organization It seems to work
Trophies & Prizes Door prizes from the National Guard, smaller trophies
Food Arby's was busy today! More variety would be nice
Entertainment The same songs all day long got old quickly, either bring back the DJ, have more variety or XM
Judging Participant... some love it, other hate it!
Dash Plaque Excellent! Nice Mopars there today!
Variety of Cars Clean, clean, clean!!
Bathrooms Breezy and sunny, perfect!
Weather 2:30!!! I appreciated that!
Trophy Presentation Timing The typical $10

Nice show, I would work on the music selections and possibly get someone else in to help you out with food!

Great job for a first year!

Parking Location Nice, grassy park
Class Organization Nice job!
Trophies & Prizes I thought they looked great!
Food BBQ or Roast Beef, they ran out quickly. I'd work on this for next year, find a non profit group that wants to help you out.
Entertainment A bit loud at times, tunes I've never heard before. Gregg does a nice job.
Judging The guys worked hard, I would suggest taking your top judges with you next year to pick out your Best of Show, it's a bit intimidating for the owners to see a large group combing their cars.
Dash Plaque Looked good!
Variety of Cars Excellent!
Bathrooms Good and clean!
Weather Crummy in the morning, hot and humid in the afternoon.
Trophy Presentation Timing Moved up 30 minutes, very appreciative!
Entry Fee $10... standard

Aaron did a great job with what he had to work with! We had a rough start this morning, but the day ended quite well!

I'd work on the food vendors for next year, but otherwise nice show!

Parking Location Grassy park, no shade, but we had our canopies and were good
Class Organization None, you parked pretty much where you wanted
Trophies & Prizes Door prizes from the surrounding businesses, some seemed odd for a car show, but whatever works!
Food They were out of cheeseburgers when we went up, and I didn't feel like waiting. I did find some awesome cheese curds at the Dragon Arts Fair
Entertainment Sound system with 94.9, it was rather loud at times
Judging None
Dash Plaque I got one!
Variety of Cars Quite a few I've seen before and new ones!
Bathrooms In the park shelter, and they were clean!
Weather Started out cold, turned hot and then into rain. Thank goodness we left when we did as several funnel clouds were spotted near our home
Trophy Presentation Timing None
Entry Fee $10, the norm

This show used to be a great one in the past when another group had it and since the Fire Department has taken over, it's gone downhill a bit.

A few suggestions:

Do not have everyone fill out the registration as they are driving in. Take our money, give the info we need and have us come back with everything filled out. If there would've been double the cars there today, the line would've been rather long waiting to get in, which is a big turnoff for many.

The music was loud (I was upfront though), and towards the back you couldn't hear anything. Is it possible to put a couple speakers out into the park more?

When the weather is impending (you could see it in the sky), and participants start to leave ~ get those door prize numbers called often and early. There weren't that many cars there when we left and I know they still had plenty of prizes to give out.

Overall a nice day, and I know the Fire Department works hard. I also liked walking over to the fair, it's a nice variety at ahows. A few were disappointed the ice cream social was cancelled this year, that's always been a highlight! :)

Parking Location Parking lot at Noah's Ark, not much more you can do
Class Organization Absolutely none
Trophies & Prizes The awards were nice, but I'm sure the amount of money they spent on them ~ the picture could've been a bit clearer and the colors correct. I know the tires on the car weren't purple!
Food Didn't eat anything there until Sunday afternoon when they were practically giving the food away. The Lions Club must've made a killing as you couldn't get near the food on Saturday and the prices were a bit high.
Entertainment I didn't hear the band and most of the music they played on the PA system was very hard to hear
Judging They judge you as you drive in, send the girls out in the golf carts and generally pick the cars they want. I did see some hands down beautiful cars win, and others left me scratching my head wondering what they were looking at.
Dash Plaque Nice and colorful, great car!
Variety of Cars Excellent, over 1300 cars on Saturday, what more can you ask for?
Bathrooms Lots of portables that were used quite a bit!
Weather I won't complain compared to previous years... it was downright HOT today
Trophy Presentation Timing They started right around 2 and kept it moving!
Entry Fee $10 for an entire weekend?! I love it!

This is always our first big show of the year and we spend the entire weekend with our car club and friends... I really like this show and look forward to it every year. The club does a good job, although I wish they would either do away with awards and make this a show and shine event, or really do some judging.

Beautiful cars all weekend long, lots of cruising on Saturday afternoon, I enjoyed the cruise by the hotels and thought it was a great gesture for those that didn't go. We went to Dells Raceway Park last year and encountered the same issues with the burnout contest, I thought for sure they would fix that this year.

We made our reservations for 2011 before we left... of course we'll be back next year!

Parking Location Right downtown, perfect!
Class Organization Broken down more than any show this year. We did lots of searching for the classes we had only to find out out there was no BB. It would be nice to have a modern muscle class vs. breaking the classes down so much.
Trophies & Prizes Lots of door prizes, trophies from Culvers! This I have to check into! ;)
Food Seemed to be plenty of it, the bars got in on the action.
Entertainment Lookie here again this morning, but that was quickly stopped. A different selection of music most of the day
Judging Participant judging, I'd like to see this changed. Seemed like plenty of the locals won today, even heard a couple sponsors win awards
Dash Plaque Very nice, I've never seen one like it before!
Variety of Cars Excellent! I think the final count was around 350! I'm not sure how some of the neighborhoods felt about cars parked in every direction.
Bathrooms On every corner, in the bars. Covered very well!
Weather Fantastic!
Trophy Presentation Timing Right on time and they kept things moving
Entry Fee $5!!!

Todd and his staff put an a great show year after year. I remember going to the first show that included about 50 cars and tractors total. This show has contiually grown every year and you can see why. Next year they may have to consider opening some of the side streets or moving it to a park as they seem to be running out of space now.

I have a couple issues ~

The participant judging forms are unique to this show, and while I like it ~ it was rather hard to find the cars on your sheets today. There was at least one class with no cars in it and a couple others with limited cars.

I don't like being told what class my car should go in. Today I was told the rims, paint and engine are wrong so I was put in a modified class. Well, I know darn well you are allowed 3 modifications at most shows and how on earth would you know my STOCK engine is wrong with the hood closed? I did change classes at registration, and think it would be much easier to register once you've paid and parked vs. having everyone go through a drivethrough?

All in all, great show! Congrats to everyone that won today, including the Road Apples for club participation. We had a record number cruise to Spring Green ~ we'll be back next year!

Parking Location Nice grassy park. The remnants from the fireworks last night were all around us
Class Organization None, cars in every direction
Trophies & Prizes The same trophies for the last few years now, just different colors. No door prizes
Food Plenty to choose from with the carnival in town. You have to purchase tickets to get the food, that's a bit annoying. I know more than one went straight for the carnival food vs. standing in line with your tickets.
Entertainment It would be nice to have speakers throughout the park in order to hear any music/announcements. I heard a live band later on
Judging The guys that judged my car took their time and talked to me afterwards on what I can improve on. I did win Best in my class, so obviously they liked the car. They also opened the doors and took their time, I appreciated that.
Dash Plaque Got one, it's nice.
Variety of Cars Excellent, many I've never seen before. They bring them in from all over
Bathrooms Two portables (that I could find) and more near the carnival. It would be nice to have more portables around the park
Weather Horrible, horrible, horrible! It was hotter than heck most of the day and then rained like hell during awards and on the way home. I hate rain!
Trophy Presentation Timing They moved it up due to the incoming storm, but still took their time giving out awards with some confusion. In a situation like today, it would've been nice to go a bit faster. Nothing worse than thunder and lightning around you and people holding metal umbrellas!
Entry Fee $10....

Nice show with plenty for everyone to do with the carnival, craft show and entertainment. Good job, year after year.

I've seen enough rain this weekend to last a long time, nothing worse than driving home in the pouring rain.

I think their car count was down this year partially due to the weather and also multiple shows this weekend. There had to be 250 or so cars.

More bathrooms and garbage cans would be nice, we'll be back!

Parking Location Parking was a bit odd this year, when we got there we had to back down the main street in order to get in our spot. Wouldn't it have been easier to go a different direction?
Class Organization None, the judges parked you wherever there was room
Trophies & Prizes Lots and lots of door prizes, same trophies for 3 years now
Food Many of the restaurants got smart this year and offered food outside at a decent price. We bought hot dogs from the Chamber for a buck!
Entertainment 3D, I heard more "lookie here's" today than I really want to.
Judging They didn't have enough and asked for volunteers. I watched them judge multiple cars (including mine) and they took less than a minute on each car. More time would've been nice to really appreciate how nice some of the cars were. It seemed a lot of local people won awards today.
Dash Plaque Got one
Variety of Cars Many nice ones, this show seems to bring them in from all over
Bathrooms All I found today is ONE portable for over 200 cars. I'm assuming you were supposed to use the gas station across the street (which had a huge OUT OF ORDER sign on the door), or the local taverns? I feel guilty doing this if I'm not supporting the business. There should be many more portables for that many people.
Weather Overcast, cloudy and cool. I thought it was going to rain more than once
Trophy Presentation Timing Around 2, one of the earliest around.
Entry Fee The normal

This is a good show that continues to grow each year. I love the downtown atmosphere and having a chance to see so many good cars spread out. I would suggest making parking a bit easier for everyone, or a bit more organized. More bathrooms are definitely needed. I didn't see many garbage cans early this morning but noticed additional ones later on. You can never have too many garbage cans or bathrooms.

Also, when giving out awards.... The announcer seemed to know just about everyone getting an award and made comments reflecting that. Those type of comments make people wonder... Don't get me wrong ~ it's great when your friends win awards, but don't announce it. I also saw more than one person with a "staff" shirt get an award, that isn't right either. Try to keep the awards to one per person. If you win a special award from a group, peoples choice, best of show or something similar ~ you should not also win a class award.

Congrats to everyone that won today!

Parking Location We parked with the club, everyone else was parked by class
Class Organization Well marked
Trophies & Prizes Didn't win a door prize, the plaques are different. Are organizers getting away from trophies?
Food I didn't have any this year, heard the ice cream was melting quickly. The cinnamon rolls this morning were awesome!
Entertainment We couldn't hear anything in the back, more speakers are needed. What I did hear in the morning was good
Judging They seemed fair and thorough, saw more than one under a car
Dash Plaque A bit big, love the picture!
Variety of Cars Wow, excellent!
Bathrooms The ones up front were busy all day long, only saw a couple other portables. More would be great, especially at a show with over 300 cars and spectators
Weather Beautifl in the morning, hot and HUMID this afternoon.
Trophy Presentation Timing On time and they keep it moving!
Entry Fee $6 ahead of time, $12 day of show, which is a bit high. I always preregister!

We love driving from Sun Prairie every year, the windy roads and hills make for such a beautiful drive. This show is one of our favorites, the variety and quality of cars is amazing. My kids love swimming in the pool and you never know what type of award Frank has up his sleeve.

My only suggestions would be to place more speakers around the park so everyone can hear the announcements and door prize winners and more portable bathrooms. I saw quite a line at more than one today.

Congrats to everyone that won an award today, the Road Apples had 15 members in attendance with 13 taking home awards. I was shocked to get the award I did... Wow is all I have to say.

Summer is going way too quickly!
