A good variety of cars seemed to show up and lots of cars and motorcycles were there, especially when you consider there were only about 5 classes total and one award per class. The show definetly seems to be geared toward just having fun without the pressure of judging (participant judged) but if your going to have awards in my opinion there ought to be a few more. I got in a half hour before judging ballots needed to be in so I didn't have much of an opportunity to choose vehicles but that choice is complicated when multi -decade gaps exist in classes. Food seemed reasonably priced and good, lots of nice cars to check out with a decent motorcycle participation and the dash plaques were very nice. The music was loud and appropriately themed. A nice show overall from what I saw in the time I was there, I couldn't decide what show to go to today so I made the easy decision: rush from one to the other as soon as the first ends while monitoring the radar detector closely. I hope they either add classes or go to show and shine as this show grows in the future but a good time overall.

Nice show in Deerfield with helpful club members running everthing in such a way that suggested they knew what they were doing. Music played and nice car related door prizes were given out. A decent variety of classes up until 1990 when custom and stock were put together with a 20 year gap to 2010 (not uncommon) and there were quite a few very new cars today (at least 3 showroom challengers). Other than the large modern class (and where were all the 80's cars only one showed up) the classes seemed well set up and they did shuffle awards around from classes with few or no entrants to others with more entrants. Food was good and everything seemed organized, with participant judging you never really know what to expect. Trophy presentation was finished timely enough for me to high tail it out to Mazomanie to briefly attend there show as well so a very good day overall.

I stopped in for a couple of hours to check things out. I attended last year and it was about the same with a couple of improvements. This year they had a DJ that only faded the music out to announce door prize numbers (last year there was a gentleman whose commentary got more colorful as spirits were flowing throughout the day). Also, the door prizes were mainly car related items (car wash stuff, sprays and cleaners), last year it was primary alcohol relate items (shirts, hats, key chains ...).

The car total was about 85, and it was a relaxing couple of hours for me and a nice drive to and from.

Also, I did hear that there was a show in Marshall at the same time (2nd annual not on the calendar), so I may hit that up next year for something different.

There were 88 cars..probably down from last year since the first 100 were supposed to get dash plaques. It was a bit cloudy during the morning with a chance of thunderstorms, which probably held the attendance down a bit....plus I've been noticing that all the car shows are down in attendance from last year...and I'm absolutely sure that is due to the economy/unemployment right now.
The club members running the show were knowledgeable and appreciative of the cars that showed up...always nice to be appreciated.
The judging was by participants and to me that is always a giant crap shoot....but hey, it is what it is. It gives some people a chance to win that wouldn't otherwise get the chance from judges. And usually a clean, well presented car is voted top marks over some one's "hey that's just like my mother's cousin's boyfriend's friend's old so and so kind of car, so let's vote for that one".......but not always. And at least you know it going in, it wasn't a secret.
Great weather, great friends, good food I'm told and a well run show. I'll be back.

I like the DJ they use, he's pleasant to listen to and plays good music. The only constructive criticism would be that this year they closed off the parking lot next to it which was much easier to park last year there instead of on the street. Certainly worth a visit!

Once again it is a show that could be fantastic IF they could get quality judges. Some classes, like the mustang classes, were judged right on. Others were done absolutely horribly.

2 Examples: My wife won a trophy in Import Stock all years with her 2005 350Z...and she was the first to admit that there was no way she should have won considering the other vehicles in her class, and she was exactly right.

The other example was downright laughable (coming from someone who has shown and/or judged at tons of shows). The Import Custom class was judged by a kid and his girlfriend (the gf was doing the scoring). She obviously had no clue based on the kinds of questions she asked. What was even better (or worse) was that the guy owned an Acura Integra he was building...and low and behold Honda/Acuras swept the awards. I find it very interesting that an Accord with curb-rashed wheels, stock interior and enginebay, not at all washed would outscore a car that has had near-perfect scores in every show its been in, including World of Wheels.

I asked to see the judging sheets for that class and was basically blown off. I gave them my info and have yet to see anything.

Again, it could be a fantastic show....but the quality of the judging gives it a huge black eye. We've shown there 6 times or so, and this hasnt changed, so I dont think we'll be back. We'll stick with shows that have respectable judging (ie, Beaver Dam, Pardeeville, etc).

I like the drive out to this show. But this year they did away with classes. When i asked the kid at the reg table he didn't know anything about classes and said that only cars 61-70 were to be judged. Kind of a waste of my time to clean my car i guess. Last year they had classes set up and they were well broken down. Its still a very nice show and wouldn't mind going back again really. They have god food and good music. I didn't stay for the trophies or lack there of due to the fact some dude bought my car on the spot cash!

Also i really didn't like how they had the bathrooms and drinking fountains roped off inside in the dealership. WTF!. That's bogus as hell. I used them anyway.

A nice little show that seemed to come up short in participants (50 dash plaques left over and 2 classes without entrants, others with only 1) food, and entertainment. It sounded like a lack of advertsing until the last minute and a mix up with the food vendor contributed to the decline in entrants and food issues. I didn't know about the show until less than a week in advance and heard similar stories from most people there. For $8 the show is certainly decent with dash plaques, awards, etc but the addition of entertainment of some kind and a double check on vendors would be highly beneficial. I saw a few classes without entrants but at the same time some nice motorcycle's showed up despite not having a motorcycle class of any kind...thats seems to be missing out on a lot of potential. To their credit the organizers provide a survey for owners to give feedback and door prizes, trophy presentation, judge sheet distribution and tallying, and announcements were all done efficiently. If the show grows in the future the addition of a loudspeaker may become necessary rather than having a club member walk around and announce that the award ceremony will start to each vehicle owner. Overall there were some issues that could definitely be overcome but Dave and the club did a good job putting on the show and it was a nice day at Don Miller
