We waited for the rain to stop before the morning cruise to Pulaski, about 40 miles in the country one way. We still managed to run into the rain on the way to the show.
I always like this show. The Tri-County Optimist do a great job of running it and the funds are used to help
local family's in a crisis medical situations.
Because of the rain the car count was down to about 65 under 1/2 of what would usually be on display at this show. Most of the owners that did bring there cars knew that there was a good chance for rain and should be commended for bringing there cars out. I know the Optimist really appreciated the cars that did come.
And as usual there was the Pancake & Porkies breakfast for $3.00. And that's with coffee or juice & apple sauce. Now that's what I call "Car Owner Expense Friendly" prices. I also had the polish sausage which were great.
The awards went smoothly, this being the 9th annual show. The group that runs this show does a great job.
Everyone from the people assisting parking, to registration, to food servers deserve a congratulations and thank you for putting on another great show. About the only thing this show could use is more promotion, and it could easily increase in size because it really is a "diamond in the ruff".
Saw some old friends and made some new. Talked to a lot of car people on a wet Wisconsin day. That's what it's all about, for me.
We had a good time and will be back. Hope to see you there next year.
